The main goals we achieved with the implementation of the project are: 1.To gain a practical understanding of how blended learning and how digital technologies stimulate learning and develop competencies in students 2.To acquire skills to apply social media in the classroom for its effective management through innovative methodologies, motivation, collaboration strategies and assessment. 3. To acquire knowledge and skills for innovative methods such as: "flipped classroom", learning through projects, learning through solving problems and cases, learning to develop creativity. The pandemic of 2020 has dramatically changed education. ICT can stimulate student learning and help teachers become more effective educators and successfully develop blended learning practices. The integration of technology in the teaching process, the creation and use of appropriate didactic materials, the active interaction and involvement of students in the learning process, the implementation of effective systems to promote and support learning are only part of the innovative methods for effective management of a modern classroom. They promote participation and engage learning using a student-centered learning environment.
We are a state vocational high school. We offer professional education in various professional fields: Computer Science, Computer Technology and Technologies, Mechatronics, Industrial Electronics, CNC Machines and Systems. The pandemic of 2020 has dramatically changed education. The lack of experience and clear algorithms of work in such conditions (which significantly differ from the routine of work in the physical classroom and the need for more active measures to engage students and effective learning, suggest the application of adequate systems to support and adapt the learning process. Applied teaching and assessment methods used in a real classroom seem to be not as effective in a digital one. That is why we decided to apply for this project. One of the main results we expect to see after its completion is an improved capacity to implement sustainable changes in the organization of the learning process and to develop educational innovations. We focus on: new opportunities for the development of mixed forms of learning; application of social media and development of innovative practices in classroom management and effective integration of digital technologies.
