The main objective of the 4th Primary School is to offer quality education related to the needs of the time. In this project, some of the sub-objectives of this huge challenge were set: -Improving the quality of distance learning – this was new and unknown territory in the field of education and its knowledge and development brought to all participants in the educational process better and more effective -results. - Implementation of ICT in the education of children with learning disabilities for effective distance learning in an electronic environment – an important and necessary condition to give every child an equal chance for development. -Recognition and management of stress in school environments and protection of the mental health of students and pedagogical specialists – quality education cannot be realized without mentally resistant teachers and students. -Implementation of effective STEM training – training that integrates knowledge and skills from different sciences to give the much-needed practical orientation of education.
The need of this project was born from the needs of the new time and the new generation, which also requires a "new" school. The idea of the project was born during the COVID 19 pandemic, when challenges unknown to us so far came to the fore. We have already had some experience in STEM training and the use of digital tools, but we didn’t feel prepared and confident. Distance learning was unfamiliar territory that brought many challenges, especially when it came to children with SEN. In addition, none of the teachers were prepared for the high levels of stress and did not know how to fight the signs of overheating. Previously, we had already implemented two qualification projects, which allowed 14 pedagogical specialists to participate in 9 mobilities for the purpose of training in different European countries. The knowledge and skills acquired there helped us to enrich school life and make the environment more attractive and effective. The team of 4.OU was already convinced of the benefits of qualification at European level and decided that it is necessary to improve the qualification of pedagogical specialists in order to continue the path to modern, innovative training.
