Objectives

Objectives: 1.Acquiring effective methods and tools for distance learning, applicable in the transition from face-to-face and distance learning. 2.Implementation in the educational process of various effective methods for distance learning, in accordance with the age characteristics of the students and the subject. 3. Dissemination of the tested methods for effective distance learning among all target groups at the municipal level, in the country and in the European eTwinning network. This includes: - increasing the digital skills of teachers and students to work in an e-platform; - skills for effective work with various educational web-based applications; - knowledge of the specifics of the way of teaching depending on the age of the students and the subject; - work with parents in an e-environment. The materials developed by us will be distributed to all target groups - the other schools in the city, educational experts at the municipal and national level, universities and via eTwinning.

Background

SU "Tsar Simeon the Great" is the largest school in the Vidin region. We teach 987 students, 1-12 grade, from the city and the district. At school we have three levels: primary, secondary, first and second high school level. There is also a preparatory group before 1st grade. The school has 19 students with SEN, integrated in regular classes, supported by resource teachers and special curricula. In the academic year 2020/2021, the school had distance learning periods, and in face-to-face periods there were about 150 students applied for hybrid learning. There were a lot negative things about the quality of the educational process during the lockdown. Without face-to-face classroom instruction, in distance or hybrid learning periods, teachers were forced to teach in a way they were not prepared for. Different age groups of students and the teaching of different subjects required a different approach to e-learning. Most teachers lack the skills needed to plan, manage and control the lesson and distance learning activities, to support students online, in their mental development, in the absence of live contacts in a school environment. The present project helped for a more effective learning process
