The main objectives defined in the project are: - Motivating students to participate in European mobility, increasing number of mobilities and the number of students who have gained practical professional experience in a real working multicultural environment. - Development key skills and competences of the students participating in the mobilities - gaining experience by working in countries offering a high level of touristic product. - Upgrading the professional skills and competencies of students in accordance with European standards. - Expanding the internationalization of the school by building and establishing sustainable partnerships. Improving the quality of preparation, implementation and monitoring of European projects. - Providing a modern, dynamic, engaged, tolerant professional and learning environment for teachers and students in Professional High School of Tourism "Pencho Semov".
The project "Developing professional skills and competences through mobility in a multicultural environment" is of great importance for the image of Professional High School of Tourism "Pencho Semov" as a modern educational institution working for integration into the European educational space. The growing needs of the business for trained staff with high professional and key skills and competences, necessary for direct inclusion in the labor market, is a challenge for the high school and it requires continuous analysis and adaptation of criteria connected with the level of students’ professional training to meet the changing business environment. This determines the need for continuous upgrading the students’ knowledge, skills and competences through expanding the internationalization of the school and increasing the number of mobilities and students gained practical professional experience and improved their key language and communication skills in an intercultural environment.
