The project set and achieved the following goals: - Increasing the competences of the staff to work with students with SEN with the aim of implementation in the field of landscaping and floristry. This objective is closely related to the priorities of the Erasmus+ Program Inclusion and Diversity and Eco-Sustainability. - Development of curricula and content in Landscaping and floristry based on good European practices and methods using digital technologies. This goal is related to the Digitalization priority of the Erasmus+ Programme. - Increasing the language competences of the staff and the skills to work in an intercultural environment. Goal related to priority Active participation in a network of Erasmus organizations. - Increasing the institutional capacity of SUUNZ to work with interested parties in Bulgaria and abroad. Goal related to priority Active participation in a network of Erasmus organizations.
The education of students with SEN in Bulgaria has traditions and good achievements. However, the professional realization of persons with SEN is unsatisfactory. One of the reasons is the uneven transition from the learning environment, in which students with SEN are supported, to the real work environment, which creates uncertainty for them. Another reason is the lack of a well-functioning network of interested parties - educational institutions, employers and local administration, which would assist in opening jobs for persons with SEN. Thanks to the implementation of the project, some of these obstacles have been overcome. The opportunity to observe real workplaces and meetings with interested parties in Italy contributed to increasing the qualifications of SUUNZ staff, developing a new curriculum and content in Landscaping and Floriculture, building capacity for networking in Bulgaria and abroad.
