Background

National Secondary School of Forestry and Woodworking "Sava Mladenov" Teteven, Bulgaria seeks to internationalize the proposed VET through a direct link with the requirements of the European labor market and the innovative approaches in VET. The analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the current participation in the Erasmus+ Program shows that we need to expand the opportunities for the development of professional, language, digital, cross-cutting skills and civic competencies of school staff and learners in a European environment. Since 2018, the school has faced the challenges of dual training in the two main curricula in forestry and logging and furniture production. Despite the successes and support of business and the public, the school faces insufficient knowledge of the dual system. It needs to study the European experience - transition from school to the labor market, career development and transparent certification.
