The project implementation includes mobility of students, academics and staff between Programme countries. The mobilities were planned and implemented on the basis of 214 IIAs signed as a result of preliminary talks and personal scientific and professional contacts of lecturers and students from Plovdiv University. The planned project mobilities were as follows: Student mobility - 65 (18 for studies and 47 for traineeships); Staff mobility - 89 (58 for teaching and 31 for training). UP`s objectives were internationalization and modernization of higher education in conformity with the principles of the European Education Area. We aim to achieve these goals through improving the quality and quantity of mobile participants in all activity types. We plan to implement an increased number of student mobility for studies and traineeships, allowing a greater part of students to acquire knowledge and skills necessary for the labour market throughout Europe, to improve their competencies in their respective subject fields, linguistic skills, international and intercultural communication skills and work skills. We will continue to actively promote staff mobilities for teaching and training as well.
