Objectives

The project aims to provide professionals working with young people innovative tools and methods to promote awareness of health topics, particularly mental health, among disadvantaged youth. It also aims to develop creative educational activities to enhance non-formal education in youth work and strengthen the quality of youth work with disadvantaged and vulnerable young people. The project seeks to accelerate social inclusion for disadvantaged youth and foster collaboration among partners in the Erasmus+ network to plan and implement future projects. These objectives align with the priorities of Erasmus+ and aim to enhance capacity in the youth field.

Background

The project successfully addressed the needs of our organizations and partners, which emerged in response to the pandemic and similar activities. These needs were accurately identified through a well-executed SWOT analysis. Additionally, an analysis of the target group's needs was conducted, taking into consideration the perspectives and requirements of other stakeholders such as organizations involved in formal and non-formal education for young people, as well as professionals working with this demographic. The identified needs aligned with those outlined in the project proposal. The project addressed the lack of methodologies and approaches to engage young people on topics related to their physical and mental health, particularly in situations where physical access to premises is limited. The needs of specialists working with youth were identified. These needs included a lack of sufficient digital skills, particularly updated ones, for effective online engagement with young people in a digital environment. Additionally, there was a need for knowledge and skills in working with young people, including identifying specific mental and health issues arising from the pandemic and providing appropriate support and response.
