Objectives

The project aimed to bridge entrepreneurial skill gaps in the creative industries through collaboration and partnership. Three main outcomes were targeted: XD Media Hub: This Open Educational Resource (OER) facilitated collaboration, offering practical solutions for entrepreneurs through tools, modules, and training materials. It emphasized process development, quality assurance, and evaluation to meet user needs. Raised Awareness: Activities focused on creating awareness about business challenges and opportunities in the Media and Creative industries. Campaigns, materials, and discussions engaged both partners and target groups. Contribution to Innovative Business Development: By enhancing deep tech development and business model innovation, the project aimed to impact media and creative industries. Impact assessment, sustainability measures, and exploitation activities measured broader influence. Guidelines, policy recommendations, and validation processes were developed for various stakeholders. XD Media Hub sought to catalyze entrepreneurial success and innovation through dissemination, communication, marketing, and the creation of digital resources, adapting to the dynamic landscape of M&C industries.

Background

The project originated from the rapid technological advancements impacting the Media and Creative industries, aligning with the European Commission's vision for the "Digital Decade." It aimed to bolster Europe's digital sovereignty, focusing on data, technology, and infrastructure standards. Through ongoing projects and surveys, key needs emerged: limited educational resources for niche-market businesses, challenges in new business models, partnership management, Media 4.0 innovation, and deep tech creativity. Individual entrepreneurs and VET educators faced obstacles. Entrepreneurs lacked skills for media and creative deep tech ventures, while educators needed updated methods for advanced business education. Thus, the project modernized VET offerings, empowering learners with entrepreneurial skills. It introduced educator-coaches and micro-learning for personalized education. The XD Media Hub, responsive to partner organizations' needs, leveraged their expertise to support startups/scale-ups, develop study programs, Open Educational Resources (OER), and training models.
