Digital transformation is increasingly entering the education and training system, which can take advantage of its benefits and opportunities. However, there is a need for effective management of the risks of digital transformation, including the risk of digital divide between urban and rural areas, where some people can benefit more than others. The digital transformation in education is driven by advances in connectivity, the widespread use of devices and digital applications, the need for personal flexibility and the ever-growing demand for digital skills. In an attempt to cover the main objectives of the Erasmus + Program and the main documents of the European Union the objectives on which the project proposal is based can be summarized as follows: • Creating conditions for transformation in the curricula of VET institutions in order to adapt to the changing environment and the requirements of the labor market; • Analyzing the common needs of different target groups in the field of education and training; • Capacity building of the organizations participating in the project proposal for work in an international environment; • Interaction between actors in different sectors who have common interests of change.
VET responds to the needs of the economy, but also provides learners with skills important for personal development and active citizenship. Vocational education is no longer only available at school. Now, across Europe, there is a vast range of full-time and part-time courses available at higher-education and vocational colleges, as well as on-the-job training and apprenticeships. For employers, the priority is to ensure that skills supply meets skills demand, so businesses all over the world are investing in the resources to provide high quality vocational training to their current and potential employees. There is a great demand for advanced digital skills. Digital professionals report difficulties in recruiting, but lack of appropriate skills as a major barrier to new investment. More needs to be done to promote professions and careers in the digital sector. The main goal of this project was to provide opportunities to overcome the differences between the regions in the field of VET. The priority of the project is to improve the quality of the trainings in this field, to quicken their adjustment to the needs of the labor market, as well as to provide quality education to remote and rural regions.
