Certify and train our teachers in new methods and approaches to teaching practice, with the aim of recognizing their new skills and developing the competitiveness of our organization as a natural consequence. We also wanted to be able to organize higher-level lessons, since our teachers would gain the knowledge to apply new teaching techniques and their skills would be upgraded and updated. Another goal of ours was the development of our international network, in such a way that we could collaborate for the first time on international European KA2 research projects. Finally, we wanted to extend the spirit of innovation, so that we would be able to offer new learning topics that serve the new needs arising from the new conditions and challenges (new ideas through contact with foreign organizations, exchange of views, contact with new teaching methods).
Our organization provides Greek language courses to foreign-speaking adults who want to learn the Greek language either to travel to Greece or Cyprus for vacation or work or to communicate with their relatives from Greece or Cyprus. Our courses are online from a platform designed specifically for language teaching. Our teachers meet on the platform with their students live and teach them the Greek language, following the common European Framework Reference for languages. The training activities included two programs for teachers who specialize in teaching Greek as a foreign/second language as well as an activity for partners of our organization who will get certified that they provide training services at a high level. Also, a specialized expert came to Cyprus and provided training to all our teachers. Below are the programs we participated in: 1. "EUROLTA Training and Certification Program for Language Adult Trainers" 2. "Teaching Greek to Adults" 3. "Learning to teach Greek" 4. Bring lessons to life through drama techniques 5. Teaching vocabulary and grammar at all levels of Greek
