We wanted to achieve - increase the quality of English language teaching at our school, the linguistic and methodological level of staff teaching English. - aim directly at the participants' language competence so that they could apply their newly acquired knowledge in teaching with an impact on the pupils. - increase in teachers' self-confidence in spoken and written English, the ability to navigate in a foreign environment, to be able to obtain information on individual subjects from foreign-language sources on the Internet, in literature, or on television, be able to establish foreign contacts and be able to navigate in a foreign-language environment.
