Objectives

Through the project, we monitored the improvement of methodological and language skills of teaching and non-teaching staff. All the activities of the project had two goals, which are related to the alterations in the School Educational Program: 1) To help teaching staff use innovative methods and information technologies in teaching (in particular, the introduction of the CLIL method into the teaching of professional subjects) and 2) To provide teaching and non-teaching staff with the necessary tools for effective communication in English during preparation and implementation of international cooperation.

Background

In the period of January 2021 - August 2022, Katolicke gymnazium Trebic (Catholic grammar school in Trebic) processed changes in the school's educational program at the lower level of grammar school (year 1 – 4) and is now preparing more extensive adjustments to the school curriculum for students of the upper level of grammar school (year 5 – 8). Emphasis is placed on intensive teaching of foreign languages (especially English) using the CLIL method and digital technologies. Furthermore, we plan to be more involved in international projects so that students have more opportunities to travel and communicate in a foreign language. For this reason, we also applied for and subsequently received accreditation of the Erasmus+ Program.
