Objectives

By implementing this project, we developed the language competencies of students and teachers and foster a positive school climate with a focus on well-being, self-development, self-awareness, understanding and respecting differences, and professional growth of educators. The project allowed us to find a balance between the practical use of digital technologies (utilizing various techniques, shared digital platforms, licenses, or applications to facilitate effective collaboration, education, self-development of students and teachers, and school development) and the real-life experiences of the school, authentic experiences, shared memories, and shared values.

Background

Projects of international cooperation are a fundamental part of the development of our school. We see them as opportunities for collaboration and exchange of experiences, getting acquainted with other cultures and customs of European countries, and as a source of inspiration for our work with students. This project was closely related to the situation the world found itself in 2020 - the COVID-19 pandemic radically affected our lives, keeping us confined at home in front of computer screens. Through the focus of this project on the school climate, well-being, and digital competencies, we, in collaboration with partner schools, sought new ways to achieve balance. The project also provided us with an opportunity to present our work to the wider public and local institutions (local primary schools, local institutions and organizations, non-profit organizations, local producers, and companies). One of our priorities was to reestablish international relationships, enrich our existing knowledge and skills, and have the opportunity to apply this knowledge in our work.
