By implementing the project, we primarily wanted to achieve two basic goals. 1. We wanted to strengthen the European dimension of teaching and learning by promoting awareness of the common European heritage and diversity and promoting the values of inclusion and diversity. We achieved and fulfilled this goal with the group mobility of pupils to a partner school. We had originally planned to visit Ireland but unfortunately had to make a change. The reason was an organizational change in the partner school. The head teacher, who wanted to arrange a visit for us and we had already started working together on the etwinning project, went on maternity leave. No one was found in the partner school who continued in her role. In February 2023, we managed to secure a replacement partner school in Malta. 2. The aim was to increase the quality of teaching and learning in education through the professional development of teachers, school leaders and other staff and through the improvement of language education. We achieved this goal through the selected 7 mobilities, which supported the professional development of school employees.
Elementary School has developed a strategic plan, which specifies the main needs of the school in the area of support, quality, innovation, modernization and internationalization. The main goals include, above all, the professional development of all school employees and the development of language competences of teaching staff, pupils and other employees. First of all, it was insufficient language competence. Teachers are interested in sharing their experiences abroad, implementing the CLIL teaching method at the 1st grade of elementary school. The school always tries to maintain a high level of teaching, and therefore focuses on the continuous education of foreign language teachers. In the field of school management, it is necessary to deepen and gain new experience from foreign schools, to become familiar with the educational systems in European countries. Among the main needs, we also include the deepening of the language competences of the pupils themselves. The pupils are interested in international cooperation, and the chosen group mobility of the pupils expands their knowledge of the country, during this activity they learn many language structures in context, they are motivated to develop their creative abilities.
