Objectives

We wanted to establish international cooperation, open our school towards colleagues and learners from abroad, enhance personal development, raise language competences, make the educational process modern and progressive by using innovative and activating methods and develop outdoor education. We also planned this project to be a kind of a starting point for further international development. We wanted to introduce the project to our school (staff and learners) and general public likewise (only 8 mobilities planned initially) via promoting the results of the mobilities on school web sites and facebook pages and personally during open sharing sessions as already at that time we planned to apply for accreditation as a next step thanks to which we could raise the number of mobilities in the next years.

Background

Our school has about 600 pupils and 70 members of pedagogical staff. Our Primary school provides education for childen in grades 1 to 9. The school consists of primary school itself, afterchool education and specialized workplace "Koralek" which involves services of special teacher, psychologist, primary prevention specialist, talent coordinator and career consultant. We were involved in KA2 as a partner organization. This was a project called LIRE and it lasted from 9/2020 to 10/2022. This was our very first experience in Erasmus+ and we were complete beginners in KA1 at that time. We planned 8 mobilities and the aim was to establish international cooperation at our school as it was one of the key principles of the future development of our school, thus we could support better cooperation among colleagues at our school via sharing a unique experience (see SWOT analysis in the application - we identified low effectiveness of work in subject committees).
