Objectives

The school strengths the current level of educational programs (for vocational subjects and training) and verifies the effectiveness of the focus of language training on professional terminology in the 2nd foreign language. After our experience we know that these project trainings abroad help motivate students to study this 2nd foreign language. We also use especially knowledge from the international competition and in this way we enabled students and accompanying teachers to follow the latest world trends, techniques and other processing options, which are used in practical teaching and which will be used for next international competitions. The learning outcomes of mobility were negotiated with partner organizations according to individual educational fields and specific pupils so that the acquired skills during foreign mobility became a part of compulsory training and experience from mobility is and will be used mainly in practical teaching. Learning outcomes were recognized and evaluated in vocational (esp. practical) teaching. We also use pupils' presentations about cultural knowledge of foreign countries in the subjects of tourism (tourism, geography).

Background

Our school wants to provide the opportunity to their students to participate in foreign internships in the real environment of hotel facilities. In this project the school organized foreign interships in hotel facilities:1. in 2-week mobility in Slovakia, 2.the German partner is trying to support the 2nd foreign language(profi language) and motivation of its studying by longer mobility. The aim was also to support vocational education, cooperation between schools and real companies and strengthening practical training. Experience is used in school curriculum. In addition to tradition gastronomic fields, new in this project was that we also wanted to support the field of Confectioner by participating in mobility and also by participating students in the world competition in Luxembourg. Acquired new trends, processing techniques and inspirations is used in professional practical teaching. By carrying out such projects focused on foreign internships and participation in international competitions, the school increases its traditionally good name and prestige and thereby strengthens the desirability of our graduates. We also wanted to motivate weaker pupils in foreign languages and pupils with fewer opportunities in this project.
