The objectives of the project were: • To improve the language competence of teachers of professional subjects and professional training • To improve the quality of the educational process to prevent risks associated with movement in the digital environment • to increase competences to support digitization of teaching; • to create a more dynamic and inspiring environment in the classrooms within the framework of inclusion while ensuring respect for diversity and the principle of equal behavior of students towards each other; • To improve the English language competence of teachers of professional subjects and professional training, so that they can participate in foreign professional courses, international fairs in their fields, study foreign professional literature so that we can introduce CLIL teaching as soon as possible; •To improve the language competence of all participants, strengthen teamwork in the organization, strengthen the spirit of European belonging through the exchange of experience with course participants from other European countries.
The main content of SPŠP-COP Zlín is education and training in engineering, electrical engineering, polygraphy and IT. In the first three areas, we offer a three-year apprenticeship and a four-year maturita graduation studies. Pupils have the opportunity to obtain a vocational certificate in the same or a related field of study (so-called L+H fields) as part of their graduation studies. SPŠP – COP ZLÍN is one of the workplaces with a high professional level, which currently means much higher demands on both school management and teaching. In order to keep up with current trends, the school's management tries to constantly improve this level. They appeal to teachers to keep innovating their teaching methods and approach to students. One way to achieve these goals is to participate in international educational courses, seminars and shadowing in EU schools. Therefore, we participated in this project and conducted 7 language courses, 4 methodology courses and 3 job-shadowings. We wanted our teachers of professional subjects to improve their English due to the introduction of the CLIL method and the foreign internships of our pupils. Thanks to other mobilities, the teachers of our school have acquired other useful skills & knowledge.
