Objectives

The Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (AMU) has been involved in the Erasmus+ programme since the beginning of its implementation in the Czech Republic, i.e. since 1998/99. The Erasmus+ project is of fundamental importance for the successful development of the internationalisation process of our art academy and it is our priority to develop it with an emphasis on equal access and transparency. In order to make access to mobility of students and staff within the Erasmus+ programme as easy as possible, AMU's aim in this call was also to ensure fair access and equal opportunities for current and future mobility participants from all backgrounds. All Erasmus activities enabled creative encounters across different cultures and, within artistic communities, the mutual inspiration and permeability that is nowadays a prerequisite for understanding and democratic coexistence. The specific objectives of this project were also to realise all the planned mobilities (which was achieved), to bring to practice new inclusive mechanisms (made possible by short-term combined mobilities), and to realise the first ever Blended Intensive Programme. The above was achieved and we gained valuable experience and new know-how through this project.
