Objectives

The inaugural project under the new Erasmus+ programme posed various challenges. Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (CZU) aimed for a successful and seamless implementation of all new activities and regulations, prioritizing the needs of students, staff, and Erasmus office members. The application for the 2021 call coincided with the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, resulting in the smallest Erasmus call CZU had experienced in years. Despite facing this challenge while working remotely, our primary objective was to fully utilize the available funding. Thanks to the easing of COVID-related restrictions and the new opportunities presented by Erasmus, we achieved this goal. In essence, the 2021 call provided a remarkable opportunity to revitalize the paused exchanges and mobilities for our students and staff. Our overarching aim was to awaken the mobility potential that had been dormant due to COVID and, once again, guide the CZU community in acquiring intercultural competencies. We sought to foster the development of personal and professional skills while encouraging collaboration with peers and colleagues from diverse countries and social backgrounds.
