There were three goals of this mobility project: Firstly, ARCHIP wanted to consolidate newly acquired and long-term relations with higher education partners through student mobility exchange. The school is a popular destination for incoming students (approx. 10% of our students join ARCHIP using the Erasmus scheme) but ARCHIP's students rarely go abroad. One of the goals was to increase the number of outgoing students. Secondly, this project was focused on internship mobility of ARCHIP's students and graduates. Architecture is a practical field where hands-on work experience is highly valued. While the school has a working domestic internship scheme (as a part of a 'Preparing for Practice' module), it was its goal to enable students to take internships abroad. These were embedded as an option into the 'Preparing for Practice' module. ARCHIP also wanted to motivate the best performing graduates by offering them a graduate traineeship using the Erasmus scheme. Thirdly, the goal was to deepen the school's internationalization efforts through teacher mobility. This was, however, the third item on the list of priorities and the school was prepared to scale it down in order to enable more students to go abroad for studies/internships.
