Objectives

In the project, we were aiming to align its activities with INEX-SDA's mission and vision while progressing toward reaching our 7-year KA1 accreditation objectives. To achieve this, we initially planned to deliver 3 activities with 90 participants. In reality, we expanded this plan to 5 activities, ultimately engaging 87 participants who took part as physical mobilities. (We will explain the reasons why and how we implemented these changes in the following question, which focuses on the project implementation.) The team of INEX-SDA actively works with volunteers, project leaders and youth-workers, by providing opportunities for them with a strong focus on their personal and professional development and their civic engagement. Therefore, every year, INEX-SDA implements several educational activities, projects, and programmes focused on personal and professional development, leadership, youth work and global learning. The team strongly believes that quality educational activities play a key role in the creation of an active society who strives for solidarity and intercultural understanding. The activities conducted through this project represented a significant part of INEX-SDA´s work and supported us in getting closer to our vision of living in a society where people respect each other and where people are responsible in regards to the surrounding world. Our activities were focused on Quality and innovation of youth work, the Development of key competencies of our staff/volunteers/youthworkers/youthtrainers and Active citizenship, that is the core of INEX-SDA´s activities and is either directly or indirectly linked to all activities we have conducted throughout this project. Directly - by reaching and involving the participants of this project and indirectly - by working with our participants who are youth workers/youthleaders/junior trainers/ so during the activities they gained competences that will be used in their work with youth and in a longer run will involve and activize even more young people. More concretely, our main objective was to keep creating opportunities where young people can work on their personal and professional skills; and where young people can enquire and practise attitudes/behaviours that leads towards civic understanding and active citizenship. At the same time, we also focused on capacity building of staff of NGOs, voluntary trainers, campleaders and youthworkers from our organization and organizations of our partners, so we could create new systems, share best practices, learn mutually, and therefore improve the quality of activities we deliver on a daily basis and have what to built on during projects and activities we will conduct in the future. Another important objective was to share our experiences and know-hows to activate new organizations and support their organizational development. This is why we also involved several organisations with little or zero experience. The concrete objectives tied to specific activities will be detailed in the 'Description of the Project' section, providing a comprehensive overview of how were achieving our goals.
