Objectives

Consumption habits are in a position to be effective in all areas and to interfere with the private living spaces of individuals. Policies created for consumption habits in the globalizing world negatively affect the living habits of individuals. The fact that the fashion industry forces individuals to have a perfect beauty towards their body features negatively affects their psychological and physiological characteristics. Thanks to the technologies and regulatory controls called disciplinary society, biopower comes to life in bodies, dominates, and spreads power from inside to outside through individuals, each of whom becomes a policy. The control system is spread throughout the community and manifests itself in the pressure of the neighborhood, from the peer groups at the school, from the workplaces to the courses. As the intensity of the pressure increases, the acceleration in the consumption behavior of individuals increases. In order to get rid of these phenomena, we must strive for the formation of conscious individuals independent of the sanctions of biopower. If we look at the statistics revealed as a result of the studies made in this context, even simple changes in consumption habits can have important consequences for society. For example, one-third of the food produced, or 1.3 billion tons of food worth $1 trillion, is wasted each year. Some of these happen during production, sales and shipping and companies need to find a solution. Looking at consumers, it is seen that 29 percent of energy consumption occurs in residences, and 21 percent of carbon dioxide emissions originate from activities in residences. If everyone in the world turned to energy-saving lamps, 120 billion USD would be saved annually worldwide. Water pollution is also an issue that needs to be addressed urgently. In this sense, we can examine how individuals change their consumption habits in two groups. These; 1. Trying to produce less waste 2. Purchasing sustainable goods whenever possible It is possible for individuals to reduce their waste in many ways. For example, contribution can be made by not wasting foodstuffs and reducing the use of plastic materials, which is the primary cause of marine pollution. It is also important to know about the materials you buy. Today, textile is the second most polluting sector after agriculture. If fashion products are purchased from sustainable and local sources and recycling is supported, awareness can be raised and companies can be affirmed to adopt sustainable methods. Based on all these, the goals we achieved by implementing our project • Finding answers to the questions of what is biopower and how is it related to consumption, in the context of the subject, • Understanding the pressure and interference of bio-power on the private lives of individuals, to gain resistance as awareness-raising individuals, •Supporting sustainable development activities, to participate in these activities voluntarily and to try to contribute, •Buying sustainable products instead of the fashion industry, which develops policies over individuals, • Supporting recycling projects, • Being aware of human-induced environmental pollution and to participate in activities related to awareness-raising activities, •Acting consciously towards the environment, to establish a relationship with consumption related to environmental destruction issues, •Making individuals aware of global values and to increase their quality of life according to global world values, *Being a part of a diverse whole by communicating with individuals from different cultures, •Ensuring communication with participants from different countries, to eliminate the developing prejudices by encouraging cultural dialogue, • Being able to comprehend, analyze and use the learning outcomes prepared for the activities. •After the end of the project, to enable individuals from different cultures to communicate actively with each other through communication channels, •Ensuring the expansion of the impact area and the sustainability of the issues related to the bioelectricity-consumption relationship after the completion of the project.
