The Erasmus+ project, “Coach me if you can,” was intended for youth workers starting with giving tools for working on personal development, continued by giving empathic communication & coaching instruments, aiming at improving peacebuilding attitudes and skills through the self-development process. In order to achieve the expected results, we delivered the project in two stages (one in CZE and one in AZE): In the first stage, we focused on the personal development of youth workers and the growth of their self-awareness & cognitive abilities in the international environment. Through different sessions and workshops (using NFE techniques), participants were equipped with skills, knowledge and methods to raise self-appreciation, consciousness, and learn more about themselves to raise their capacity at youth work. By this stage, we developed motivation, self-growth, self-appreciation, critical thinking, thinking outside of the box, connection between participants, to be prepared to apply in practice on the 2nd stage of the project and also after that. The second stage of the project was focused on learning effective coaching methods, communication, and conflict resolution skills. As the participants are youth workers, trainers who work with young people, the mentioned tools were important to apply and to learn how to put it into practice in future. In the end, participants gained professional competencies which will support them on the local level and international level, with their organizations and work. By this stage, we raised awareness on the importance of coaching, empathic communication, and peacebuilding in youth work. These tools also improved their employability and created opportunities for them especially in the field of youth work. Objectives: - To stimulate the self-development process of the participants - To gain awareness of new methodologies (coaching, empathic communication, and conflict transformation) to raise the quality of youth work. - To increase employability and participation of youth workers, develop their personal and professional skills - To give the tools of coaching, communication, and conflict transformation for their daily life and youth work - To build partnership and future cooperation based on this project under Erasmus+ - To promote the respect of diversity, intercultural, and interreligious dialogue - To give information on Erasmus+ and EU opportunities. From the evaluation and the participants feedback all the objectives were met, even exceeded what we were planning. Specifically, Kateřina from CZE used many of the techniques already during her internship in the center for addicted people in Brno. She also joined Genesis as a volunteer with the vision of becoming project coordinator and trainer one day. She is now using the gained experience during her volunteering as well. Alessandro from Italy for instance started to educate himself more in the topic of coaching and as he is studying it. Thanks to this project he gained much experience in this field also from the point of non-formal education and he discovered many new techniques and approaches. All this gained experience he is using during his studies and his local community.
