Objectives

The project aimed to integrate sustainability into entrepreneurship education to address global challenges like climate change, inequality, and resource scarcity. It sought to empower students, educators, and professionals to create sustainable business solutions, fostering innovation aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By inspiring individuals to act as agents of change, the project aimed to contribute to a resilient and equitable economy. To achieve this, the project delivered two key outputs. R1: Library of Educational Lectures and Practical Tasks provided educators with comprehensive resources, including lectures, assignments, and best practices. These tools bridged theory and practice, enabling students to design sustainable business models. Simultaneously, the MOOC extended access to free, flexible education, ensuring global audiences could overcome barriers to learning about sustainability and entrepreneurship. Through European university collaboration, the project fostered innovation and adaptability, transforming education to equip the next generation with the skills to address global challenges sustainably.

Background

The project was initiated to address the growing need for equipping students and educators with tools to integrate sustainability into entrepreneurial practices. As future innovators, students often lack access to educational frameworks that combine entrepreneurship with the principles of sustainability, leaving them unprepared to tackle pressing global challenges such as climate change and social inequality. Similarly, educators and the general public face a scarcity of accessible resources to understand and apply sustainable business models in their professional and personal contexts. This project leverages a unique partnership of European universities, pooling diverse expertise and perspectives to develop innovative, high-quality educational materials. By fostering transnational collaboration, the initiative ensures outputs are adaptable to different cultural and institutional contexts while meeting international standards of excellence. The creation of a free, open-access MOOC and supplementary teaching materials supports not only university students but also educators, professionals, and lifelong learners. This broad reach empowers a wide audience to adopt entrepreneurial solutions that align with SDGs.
