Background

The Green Workout project reflects the current need for a responsible approach to the environment in everyday human activities. Project is based in the European context, it draws inspiration from the Seventh Environmental Action Program 2014-2020. At the national level, insights are derived from a survey conducted by Median in collaboration with Charles University in July 2020. Additionally, a local, project-specific perspective is shaped by an anonymous survey undertaken at the largest fitness center in the Pilsen region. The project is based on the following needs of the target group: the pursuit of sports despite challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, environmental protection, socially responsible behavior, critical thinking about daily actions, the desire for integration and inclusion, and the drive to overcome obstacles. The tools created by the project are designed to fulfill these needs, allowing young people to actively contribute to and shape the project's outcomes. These outputs aim to facilitate a healthy and active lifestyle, enabling individuals to engage in sports activities even in the face of challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic or social, economic, or health disadvantages.
