Objectives

Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences aims to provide all members of our community (students, lecturers, staff) with intercultural experience – abroad and on campus. These goals have been fixed in our strategy for internationalization 2030. One of the main goals of our strategy is increasing the number of participants in international mobility. The Erasmus programme is a key tool to achieve the goals of our strategy because it offers students, teaching and administrative staff a readily accessible way to spend some time abroad and gain intercultural experience. The programme plays a key role in ensuring that we achieve the main objective of our strategy, namely to increase physical mobility – which leads directly to more mental mobility and open minds / mindset. Both are indispensable to ensure a high quality in studies, teaching and research activities. Besides that, an open mind and international / intercultural experience are essential to be successful in the (national and international) labour market. Thus, internationalization and academic mobility are important to rise the competitiveness of our students and our university.
