Objectives

Reutlingen University expects long-lasting effects within Europe and beyond in the area of internationalization by participating in the most successful education programme within the EU in order to prepare and sensitize our students for an integrative (inclusive), diverse, digitalized and competitive society also having "green" aspects in their minds. Improving foreign language skills, targeted support of mobility, intensifying the cooperation on the European level, and the ever-increasing use of new technology within the area of education are all aspects that will further ensure the sustainability of the programme and the employability of students. Furthermore, it is a driving force behind economic growth which contributes positively to the prosperity of Europe and also aims to strengthen civic engagement. Beyond the economic factor, the political aspects of a European idea comes into play here. Of course, there is no hiding the fact that Corona has had a significant impact on the ERASMUS+ programme. After initial cancellations/abandonments of stays abroad, it took almost a year before we were able to return to a normal mode. The flexibility of the ERASMUS+ programme has helped a lot and the outgoing figures also show this.
