Anhalt University of Applied Sciences (HSA) has an international focus, with 35% international students out of around 7,000. Architecture & Design and Business Studies in particular have a strong international focus. The growing mobility in engineering degree programmes is evidence of the "STEM" orientation. A core area of internationalisation is the establishment of transnational higher education. HSA is strengthening its international orientation by expanding and diversifying partnerships with different countries and types of university. Existing collaborations have been extended to other subject areas, demonstrating successful internationalisation practice and consolidating long-standing university collaborations. Many partnerships from the previous 2014-2021 programme generation were renewed via EWP and remain active across countries and disciplines. HSA pursues cross-departmental internationalisation goals, including stabilising the proportion of 30% international students, increasing the diversity of countries of origin, emphasising the international attractiveness of the locations and intensifying the internationality of teaching content through "internationalisation at home".
