The ERASMUS+ project 2021 is an important part of DHBW Stuttgart's internationalisation strategy. On strategic goal is the long-term increase of student mobility numbers , both during semester stays and during practical stays. Strategically important is to further increase the number of incoming students and to increase the involvement of the study departments through more teaching activities. Due to its study model, which is closely interlinked with the economy, DHBW Stuttgart has a not so easy starting point for student stays abroad. Because students have to complete their studies in six semesters, study semesters abroad can only be approved if full credits can be guaranteed in advance. This means a strict selection of partner universities that must guarantee the subjects required by the degree programmes. Therefore, the support and close cooperation with the departments is indispensable. Where course directors are willing to engage in this commitment and close contact with the partner university, most ERASMUS partnerships are created, which then also lead to mutual visits by lecturers for teaching purposes or joint projects.
