For Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences, an aim of the new project was to maintain the existing Erasmus+ partnerships in the European Higher Education Area and to extend them to include new exchanges in other subject fields. Beyond that, efforts were made to establish new partnerships with universities in Erasmus+ programme countries, but also, as part of KA131 international mobility, in Erasmus+ partner countries. The goal here was to intensify or establish new exchange activities in selected regions. The new programme generation should also focus more strongly on important target groups with fewer opportunities, which reflect the heterogeneous student population of a university of applied sciences. Funded students should additionally be sensitized to the use of environmentally friendly means of transport to and from their destination. Amongst others, one of the aims of blended intensive programmes (BIP) was to bring students and teachers from different countries together to allow intercultural exchange. In addition, students should get to know and practice different learning methods, including virtual learning phases.
