Trier University of Applied Sciences is an internationally orientated university with regional roots. It cooperates with international partners in research and teaching and promotes the exchange of students, professors, lecturers and staff. As part of this Erasmus project, Trier University of Applied Sciences has realised 74 of the approved mobilities including a BIP in accordance with the EU's contractually prescribed guidelines. Although this is less than intended, within the given framework conditions (Covid-19 and technical problems with the EU's "Beneficiary Module") and the subsequent increase in funding for SMS, it is a success and more than actually expected. Under these difficult conditions, it was actually possible to fund the desired international experience for all prospective students and staff. The internationalisation of the university itself was promoted by the Erasmus activities carried out. In particular, there were also many new staff and lecturers who enriched the international landscape of the university through their Erasmus-funded mobility, this in connection with the newly developed internationalisation strategy of Trier University of Applied Sciences.
