Objectives

The University of Bonn has participated successfully in Erasmus since 1987. As the University’s largest and most strongly funded exchange and internationalization program, it does much to promote the goals set out in its internationalization strategy, namely to enhance the international dimension of the structure and content of its studies/teaching, promote the international mobility of students, lecturers and staff, and strengthen the internationalization of administration. By involving all status groups, Erasmus provides the University with excellent support in embedding internationalization processes broadly within the University itself. Erasmus+ thus contributes in many ways to the University’s internationalization and modernization under its overall institutional strategy and, through its horizontal priorities, further beyond, because the horizontal priorities of Erasmus+ not only increase the quality of the Erasmus Programme and its mobilities but also fit perfectly into the University’s digitalization, diversity and sustainability strategy and accelerate the digital transformation process at the University of Bonn.
