Kempten University of Applied Sciences has declared internationalisation to be a key target. In 2023 all faculties committed to a new internationalization strategy. An essential component is the increase of the number of incoming exchange students. As the majority of our partner universities are under the framework of Erasmus+, the exchange of students, academics and staff with European countries is of great importance. Our university has been actively involved in the Erasmus programme almost since its beginning. As a continuation of the predecessor project, the 2021 project again supported the mobility of persons between universities within European countries. During the project period 2021-23 we could sign Erasmus+ agreements with two new partner universities, so Kempten University of Applied Sciences had 73 Erasmus+ partner universities (out of 110 worldwide). Furthermore we could extend the cooperation to new faculties with 1 existing partner.
