In 2021, student mobility was facilitated across all study cycles, including bachelor's and master's programs. The project evaluation highlights the increasing importance of study-related internships, partly due to pandemic-related restrictions that prompted students to pursue study-related stays abroad. The University of Wuppertal (BUW) is dedicated to ensuring the quality of all student mobility measures and consistently expands its network of partners to enable as many students as possible to undertake a study abroad in their preferred country. The International Office and department coordinators actively support student mobility at BUW. Recognition of academic achievements obtained abroad follows established procedures. BUW places a special emphasis on supporting students with specific needs. Information regarding this is collected during the application for an Erasmus+ placement to ensure optimal support. For incoming students, the International Center provides 90 furnished student apartments in local student housing and promotes language skills through the university's language teaching institute.
