Participation in the Erasmus+ programme remains a key pillar of internationalization at THWS and supplements the recruitment of international students seeking a degree in key areas, especially staff mobility. The aim of THWS is still not primarily to simply increase the number of mobilities, but to increase the quality of relationships with partners by expanding the partnerships to several faculties. In the medium term, existing partnerships are to become strategic partnerships with which THWS works together in various areas and in which Erasmus+ is an important pillar of cooperation. The number of mobilities fell significantly due to the pandemic, which was clearly noticeable in the reporting period. Nevertheless, many students were able to return to mobility, especially towards the end of the period. By using several projects in parallel, some of which were extended due to the pandemic, THWS mainly used this project for staff mobilities, internships and short-term mobilities. This has proven to be particularly helpful in establishing Blended Intensive Programmes at THWS.
