The Erasmus programme is one of the most important instruments for the internationalisation of the University of Potsdam. More than 500 inter-institutional agreements with almost 300 partners guarantee subject-specific exchanges for students, teaching staff and employees in all departments. Student exchanges with Erasmus cover subject-specific study content that complements studies at the University of Potsdam, serve to train language skills and promote students' employability through the acquisition of intercultural skills and global experience. In the area of teaching, the focus is on the exchange of teaching/learning methods and the internationalisation of curricula, increasingly also via blended and virtual formats. In order to promote internationalisation at home and create an attractive and supportive environment for international academics and students, the University of Potsdam is pursuing the goal of internationalising its administrative staff and processes. STT mobilities are an essential building block in this endeavour.
