Objectives

Philipps-Universität Marburg is interested in increasing the mobility of its students as well as its teaching and administrative staff, enabling them to spend time abroad and providing them with high-quality support. At the same time, the university is actively working to be an attractive location for students and members of other status groups from abroad. It is committed to the principles of the "Erasmus Charter for Higher Education" and thus to the mobility programs of the EU. As part of the present project, for example, the advisory and support structures (including recognition) were to be improved in order to achieve an increase in the mobility figures for Marburg students. A concrete goal in this context was and is to increase the number of study-related stays abroad by Marburg students. Philipps-Universität Marburg planned to implement all areas of individual mobility: Student mobility for studies and internships as well as staff mobility for teaching and further and continuing education. All 16 departments at the traditional comprehensive university were to participate in the Erasmus+ program for student mobility.
