Leipzig University (LU) is committed to the Erasmus+ Programme as a European university with global connections. The Erasmus+ project was designed to shape the international dimension in studies and teaching, but also in research. LU's quantitative goal is to support over 1000 Erasmus+ stays abroad each year. As a partner in a European University Alliance, we aim to ensure that 50% of students benefit from the Erasmus+ programme. All activities are to be offered, long-term mobility for studies, traineeships, doctoral studies, but also short-term mobility in blended teaching-learning formats, including Blended Intensive Programs (BIP), as well as teaching and training stays with a focus on the European University Alliance Arqus and BIPs. The international curriculum components, such as guest teaching, mobility windows, foreign language components, digital teaching formats, global perspective and a high recognition rate for achievements abroad are considered indicators of the successful impact of the Erasmus+ programme. The Erasmus agreements concluded with 300 partner universities provide the basis for a university-wide internationalization in all fields.
