The aim was to intensify collaboration with European partners and provide participants with intercultural experiences and education. The Evangelische Hochschule Darmstadt set the goal of actively supporting, promoting, and guiding the beneficiaries. Furthermore, a central concern was to actively promote the European idea and make the gain in intercultural competence tangible and visible for the participants. The collaboration sought not only to strengthen intercultural understanding and tolerance but also to broaden the horizons of the participants and solidify or even expand the university's internationalization activities. The experiences and impressions gained were intended to enrich the participants sustainably in their future professional and personal lives. This time, for the first time, extending beyond the European context. Another goal of the university was to contribute to social participation and equal opportunities for the affected and threatened. Students with fewer opportunities could apply for and receive additional grants directly from the beginning of the project.
