Objectives

The Medical School Hamburg understands its mission to equip students for a professional career in a changing healthcare market and offers a quality study program for a challenging professional future. Experience abroad and intercultural skills are increasingly becoming prerequisites for a successful career in the globalized labour market. In order to provide students with a variety of skills MSH promotes stays abroad as language proficiency and intercultural competence will offer them broader career opportunities. The Erasmus + program is an integral part of this institutional and international strategy. With project 2021 MSH intended to further increase the interest in going abroad amongst students coming from a health sciences background. Due to the fact that study programs in the area of health sciences are highly regulated, students tend to be less likely to spend a semester abroad / do an internship abroad. Next to the Psychology programme which is more prone to international student mobility than others, MSH has been further able to address target groups in formerly underrepresented programmes such as Social Work, Expressive Arts in Social Transformation and Sport Sciences.
