Objectives

KSH is one of the most important Bavarian players in higher education qualifications for social, nursing, health and educational professions. As a university in the EU, confronted with increasing nationalism and populism, KSH sees its educational mission as a responsibility to actively participate in the development of a European educational area and shares the programme priorities of the European Commission. In view of far-reaching social changes, the KSH places a special strategic focus on learning mobilities. Students are given the opportunity to gain international learning experiences in various forms with the vision that study and learning periods abroad become the norm, that another European language is learnt in addition to German and English and that students are aware of their European identity, Europe's cultural heritage and its diversity. This should not only promote a European identity and consolidate democratic and pluralistic values, but also encourage social participation and prepare students for the changing demands of the labour market and society.
