The cross-border cooperation between institutions of higher education and industry in the Germany-Luxembourg-France triangle is central to htw saar’s international cooperation strategy and it remains the most important target region within the ERASMUS+ area. In this light, mobilities towards these two neighbouring countries are particularly advertised, and vice versa the partner universities in Metz and Luxembourg do the same. An additional objective was to increase the number of mobilities to the universities in the Nordic and CEE countries that htw saar identified as important strategic partners for the development of English-taught double degree programmes. On the basis of ECHE we also aimed to increase mobilities in specific target groups, such as students with special needs and international degree seeking students. The continued high level of mobility of htw saar teaching staff was also defined as an objective, with it being extended to also increasing the mobility of non-academic staff.
