Thanks to the clear KIT 2025 strategy with clear priorities, KIT is able to consistently pursue the goals set in the field of international action. To this end, the International Service Unit (DE INTL) cooperates closely with the KIT faculties, the Service Unit of Studies and Teaching and other internal and external partners, e.g. the Studierendenwerk (responsible for dormitories, social counselling and canteens) or regional players. Particular attention will be paid to the promotion of international mobility for gaining international experience of students, junior scientists, and KIT personnel. Conversely, the attractiveness of KIT for excellent students and academic staff from abroad should be increased. This is also intended to provide targeted support for the recruitment of skilled workers for the Karlsruhe region and the state of Baden-Württemberg.
