The aim of Erasmus+ at the HfMDK Frankfurt is to offer all status groups at the university the opportunity to study abroad and to bring them into contact with students and colleagues from other European universities. The HfMDK is a very international university, as more than a third of its students come from abroad to study in Frankfurt. In addition, the music and dance scene is generally very international. Experience abroad, building international networks and engaging with other (artistic) cultures are therefore extremely relevant for the careers of our students, graduates and teachers. The HfMDK also benefits overall from the Erasmus+ exchange, which makes an important contribution to the innovation and modernization of studies and teaching. Participants are given new perspectives in artistic and didactic areas, which are directly or indirectly incorporated into their studies and teaching. At the administrative level, Erasmus+ offers the opportunity to exchange ideas with colleagues about structures and working methods that are particularly characteristic of universities of art and music.
