With the implementation of the project, we wanted to increase the qualification and professionalisation of our education officers. Secondly, we wanted to increase and improve our educational events. In addition, we wanted to expand our international and national networking and anchor the topic of the project even more strongly in the organisation.
HochVier is an association for political and intercultural education founded in 2004. The main goal of the association is the implementation of non-formal, political-cultural adult education projects for different target groups. HochVier uses innovative, creative and interactive teaching methods in the form of workshops, courses and seminars. The focus is on teaching political-cultural topics and contents. In particular, HochVier organises regional educational seminars on topics such as regional development, democracy building, cultural and ethnic diversity as well as methodological workshops on countering racism, right-wing populism and extremism. HochVier also runs various seminars, workshops and structured courses on topics such as European identity, European values, countering Europhobia, right-wing extremism, fascism and right-wing populism. For example, there were international, structured courses for the association's educators on how to deal with fake news and right-wing agitation on the net, as well as on populism, Europhobia and right-wing extremism. Furthermore, HochVier conducted diversity trainings and workshops against anti-Muslim racism.
