Objectives

To strengthen English language skills for teachers who have already participated in exchanges and/or who are scheduled for exchanges. Previous exchange measures have shown that our school has a lot of catching up to do. Many teachers involved were happy to carry out and accompany the measures, but were always dissatisfied with their language skills. A higher language level facilitates and improves international exchange measures and thus has a real added value for our trainees and thus also for the strongly export-oriented companies in our region.Better English makes the consultation with our international partners easier and the exchange can be deepened more.

Background

Our school has a strong international network and would like to strengthen this even further. We have Erasmus+ projects with Spain, Italy and Ireland. Furthermore, teachers of our school are also active in education/vocational training in Africa and China. Further projects are now underway in the USA and Jordan. In addition, we are starting a second attempt at an Erasmus+ project with Estonia, after the first attempt was cancelled due to corona and war. In order to be able to carry out these projects sufficiently, we need teachers who are not only technically but also linguistically competent.
