Objectives

The project aimed to develop guidelines to support companies in Europe in effectively supporting their employees with a migrant background. This includes creating a detailed roadmap that organizations can follow to ensure the well-being and inclusion of diverse employees. Recognizing the pressing problem of labor shortages in Europe, particularly in Ireland, Germany and Italy, we sought to contribute to a solution. Effective support and integration of people with a migrant background into the world of work can help alleviate these bottlenecks and contribute to sustainable economic growth. By implementing the project, we want to raise awareness among European companies about the importance of supporting employees with a migrant background. By highlighting the benefits of a diverse workforce, we aim to encourage a shift in organizational thinking towards inclusion. In addition, three organizations received initial experience in implementing an ERASMUS+ KA210 project. Another goal was the exchange of experiences between the organizations.

Background

We implemented this project because all organizations involved are committed to promoting diversity, inclusion and equal opportunities in the workplace. The goal of developing guidelines for companies in Europe to support their employees with a migrant background was necessary because the creation of inclusive working environments is becoming increasingly important, especially for SMEs. One of the main needs of this project is the need for a comprehensive for employees with a migrant background. As Europe faces a labor shortage, it is critical for companies to understand and address the unique challenges faced by their migrant employees. This project has created a roadmap that can guide European organizations in promoting a more inclusive workplace. Many companies may not be fully aware of the best practices for integrating immigrant employees into the workplace, and this project aims to bridge this gap. Creating a roadmap gives companies a practical tool for navigating the complexities of managing a diverse workforce and fostering a more inclusive culture.
