We wanted to achieve the inclusion of migrant people in community development and self-employment. To do so we created an online community and resource platform (www.sameconnects.com) and an opportunity for them to learn entrepreneurial education, use all resources developed from projects, and build their capacity and skill for the business. We achieved the development of a community platform where resources and events are uploaded for the community. Through this community and ecosystem platform, we keep the community informed and provide them with a platform for networking. Additionally, we also intended to provide migrants and refugees with all the necessary tools and knowledge to become entrepreneurs.
The SAME project aimed at promoting, up-skilling, and empowering young adult migrants (20 to 40 years) who are vulnerable and facing social exclusion with social entrepreneurship and start-up co-creation competencies with focuses on synthesizing and designing ideas for social good; tools necessary to successfully start up, management for sustainable businesses. Besides, the Project addressed social and economic inclusion through entrepreneurial education and building an ecosystem for learning, networking, and mentorship.
