The main goal is to promote the use of digital learning tools in existing programs for educationally disadvantaged learners of the project partners, specifically designed for women with a migration background who have basic knowledge of the language of their new country of residence. On the one hand, this aims to make basic education courses, language training, digital courses, or similar programs more engaging and flexible. On the other hand, it supports women with a migration background in coping with digital changes in the participating countries and enhances their participation in a digital society. To achieve this, the status and requirements for implementing the European Digital Competence Framework (DigComp) in the four partner countries will be analyzed. Based on the research findings, criteria and guidelines for digital learning will be developed, and digital learning arrangements tailored to the specific needs of the women will be created, tested, and implemented. The pedagogical materials and curriculum developed within the STRENGTH project aim to empower adult education trainers to support women with a migration background in their social and professional inclusion through digital learning.
Digital mobility is crucial for accessing basic rights, employment, healthcare, and education for children. This presents a significant challenge when moving to a new country of residence without speaking the language. Our target group of female learners faces exactly this challenge. So far, the promotion of digital skills for this group has been scarcely explored—neither in terms of suitable teaching materials nor with regard to the targeted training of adult educators. While some solutions already exist among our project partners, they are mostly developed by particularly tech-savvy educators or were introduced as short-term measures during the COVID-19 pandemic to overcome access restrictions. We have addressed the following needs: -Development of digital learning modules that align with both the skill level of the target group and future digitalization requirements. These modules, used with adult educators acting as supportive coaches, aim to enhance inclusion opportunities for migrant women. -Support adult educators in qualifying their target group to meet current and future requirements. -Improving the quality of qualification programs to strengthen the reputation of the educational institution.
